Is it Worthing? A song from David

  • by

In Episode 315 Nick had a bit of a go at a song called ‘Is He Worthy?’ (Hint: He is.)

One of the seventeen, David, sent in his version of the song about Joe’s favourite town. Genius.

Is it Worthing?

Do you feel the town is broken?
(We do)

Do you feel the pier’s worth keeping?
(We do)

But do you know that all the junctions

Stop the cars from getting through?
(We do)

Do you wish that you could see it all made new?
(We do)

Is the railway station groaning?
(It is)

Is a new station coming?
(It isn’t)

Is the glory of the town to be the sunlight through the mist?
(It is)

Is it good that we remind ourselves of this?
(It is)

Is anyone in Worthing?

Has anyone gone?

Is anyone going to the Sea Lane cafe to buy me a scone?

It’s like the people of Findon, who have conquered the waves

It’s the seaside town off the A24 that the bypass has saved.

Is it Worthing?

The bay of Worthing?

Is it Ferring with Shoreham and Lancing?

Is Worthing like this?
It is!
